Abstract
The problem of the development and use of advanced technologies posed in the article is relevant in connection with the objective needs of the development of the knowledge economy in Russia and the regions. The information base of the study was made up of official data of the Federal State Statistics Service of Advanced Production Technologies for 2020–2022, presented in the Russian Federation and in the context of the Russian Federation subjects. The key concept of the work is formed on the methodological basis of quality economics, which allows conducting interdisciplinary research of fundamental and applied importance. The ratio analysis of different advanced technologies groups in the economy of Russia and the Northwestern Federal District is carried out, the dynamics of changes in the development and use of advanced production technologies in the period characterized by the greatest instability due to internal changes and the effects of external shocks is investigated. The leading groups of advanced technologies in the country as a whole and in the region are identified, and the contribution of the Northwestern macro-region AMTs to the total number of developed and used AMTs in Russia is assessed. The conclusion is made about the decisive role of the Northwestern District in the development of the most important groups of technologies for the country: production, processing, transportation and assembly, design and engineering, technologies ofautomated identification, surveillance and/or control. The solution of the complex task of combining technological development and the formation of new standards of quality of life based on the quality economics is designated as a direction for further research.
