Abstract

The article analyzes the theoretical and practical significance of the implementation of entrepreneurship and innovation in the scientific community in the healthcare sector is relatively slow compared to other areas. The purpose of this article is to study the factors influencing cognitive processes associated with the formation of entrepreneurial competencies of medical students (on the example of dentists), by identifying entrepreneurial awareness as a significant influence on a person’s intentions to identify and use market opportunities. The data in the study of medical students were collected using a questionnaire. The source of the questionnaire is a survey of students. Of the 85 web questionnaires, 57 were returned, representing 67 % of the responses. The results show that the measurement of beliefs in self-efficacy combined with entrepreneurial attitude provides the best analytical model based on mathematical calculations.
