Abstract

The article indicates the levels of professional legal awareness of the investigator. In the context of improving and tightening the requirements for employees of the Investigative Committee, it is becoming increasingly important to determine the features of professional legal awareness, which develops both in the course of obtaining professional education, and in the direct passage of public service, the exercise of the functions of a representative of power. Along with the “traditional” division of the elements of legal consciousness into legal psychology and legal ideology, in the context of the investigator's law enforcement activities, the legal position is separately distinguished — as a set of ideas of an employee of the investigating authorities about the general principles and practice of applying procedural and substantive legislation.
