Abstract

The article presents a brief theoretical justification for the connection between speech and personality, as well as the results of an experimental study of the problem. The study was conducted among children of senior preschool age with normally developed speech and severe forms of impairment. The results of the study empirically substantiated the theoretical principles and showed the characteristics of the personal development of a child with speech impairment. Also in the process of research, differences in the formation of personality are revealed depend- ing on the nature of speech development.
