Abstract

The article deals with the problem of mastering engineering disciplines by the students of a pedagogical university pursuing in “Robotics and Technology”, for whom fundamental knowledge in physics, mathematics, theoretical mechanics is the basis for successful completion of the curriculum. The paper considers a way to stimulate students’ interest in the learning process using an activity-based approach. The stimulation is aimed at creating a situation in which the student goes independently from the beginning (virtual design of the object) to the final result (embodiment in the material). The “Maltese Cross” mechanism is proposed as an object of development.
