Abstract
The paper considers the characteristics of a thermal power plant as a source of impact on a water body, in particular, the influence of oil products discharged in effluents. An analytical review of existing and promising methods and technologies for cleaning wastewater from oil products for an industrial facility was carried out. A patent search was carried out for promising and best available technologies in the field of wastewater treatment, of which the most effective ones were proposed as a technical solution to reduce the concentration of oil products in industrial wastewater.
