Abstract

The paper considers development of industry and entrepreneurship in the current conditions from the business perspective. Despite tough sanctions most companies rate their work as successful, noting effective business support programs (the work of the Industry Development Fund and the Russian Export Center in particular). The main challenges that need to be addressed include: rising producer prices and rates of natural monopolies, difficulties in attracting funding, high debt burden, poor quality of collateral, lack of guarantees and bonds, obstacles in international economic activity, lack of personnel. The author emphasizes the need to encourage private investment and strengthening cooperation between business and government. Adjustments to legislation is proposed, specifically tax regulation.
