Abstract

A study was conducted at the Department of Veterinary Surgery of the Moscow State Medical University named after K. I. Skryabin, as well as on the basis of the IVC MBA, the objectives of which were to confirm the effectiveness of the resection arthroplasty method and the use of craneolar access in the treatment of aseptic necrosis of the femoral head in dogs. In this regard, operations with resection of the femoral head were performed on seven dogs. Based on the performed surgical interventions, as well as postoperative examinations, they confirmed the high effectiveness of the resection arthroplasty method, as well as the approach in the prescribed therapeutic care and selected physiotherapy exercises in all dogs that participated in the study. In addition to surgical intervention, the effectiveness of postoperative therapy was also studied. Antibiotics, NSAIDs, as well as preparations for external suture treatment were used. Of particular importance was postoperative recovery with the help of physiotherapy, which was carried out by the owners according to the recommendations. Positive dynamics in the postoperative period was observed in all operated animals (7 heads), which is observed due to the X-ray images with temporary intervals during the observation of patients after surgical interventions. Separately, it should be emphasized that no problems or deviations were found in any animal during recovery, which only confirms the effectiveness of this technique.
