Abstract
The paper discusses the main directions transformation of the economic model in Russia. To substantiate its basic characteristics, the key trends in the development of the global economy are consistently considered, as well as the potential for increasing the domestic market both in terms of stimulating demand and developing supply. Special attention is paid to the issues of scientific and technological development and improvement of production efficiency based on it. It is stated that in order to ensure the sustainability of economic growth, it is necessary to consistently ensure the use of the potential of the domestic market with the subsequent expansion of non-commodity exports. The conditions for expanding Russia’s role in the global economy on the basis of expanding integration processes in the post-Soviet space are considered.
