Abstract

As a model for the changes in the content of endogenous cytokinins, ipt-transgenic tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. Petit Havana SR-1) were used. The total heating of plants caused the accumulation of cytokinins in shoots and a decrease in the delivery of auxins with phloem flow. The effect of cytokinins on the transport of auxins through the phloem is discussed, as well as limitations for the use of ipt transgenic tobacco plants as a model for studying the interaction of hormones.
