Abstract

Due to the growth of media, Video is not simply a means of sharing information but a means of communication that expresses individual identities, which has led to a change in communicative methods. However, there is a lack of Identity design education based on these video contents in specialized high schools and the idea process for student’s identity is not systematically established. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a Channel Brand Identity Design Education Program that applies a Narrative method to share their thoughts and experiences for 2nd and 3rd grades of specialized high schools, and to analyze the educational effect. As a research method, the theoretical background of Narrative and Channel Brand Identity Design was examined through literature research, and the current status of education in specialized high schools was analyzed through a survey to lay the foundation for this study. Based on this, the use of Narrative in Channel Brand Identity Design Education was found, and ‘Channel Brand Identity Design Education Program using Narrative’, which consists of a total of 6 steps, was proposed and class was implemented. This class was held for about 3 weeks from April 11 to April 29, 2022, and after the class, the overall satisfaction with Channel Brand Identity Design Education Program was high at 4.47 on average, the effectiveness of the Channel Brand Identity Design Education Program using Narrative has been proven.
