Abstract

Urban regeneration in Korea is bringing about changes in the implementation pattern over time, and has now shifted to improving private investment. Regarding the concept of ‘n-minute city’, by examining Paris’s 15-minute urban plan and Seoul’s 30-minute pedestrian living zone, it was confirmed that the living zone is concentrated around the alley economy. Through local commercial districts and the Regional Commercial District Act, it was found that the policy direction of Korea's commercial district support projects in the future will be organized into regional commercial districts through private-centered commercial district professional managers. Through case studies in the US, UK, and Japan, we were able to gain insight into the necessity and direction of a private-centered commercial management organization to solve regional problems and create a sustainable profit model. Lastly, by deriving current problems through analysis of the trends and policies of our country's commercial districts and the current status of traditional market commercial districts, we have a direction on the need for a private-centered commercial management company based on the concept of a local management company for existing traditional market commercial districts. was able to check.
