Abstract
Naeseong-cheon River with beautiful sandy channel showed riverbed landscape covered with vegetation after construction of Yeongju Dam. In this study, the changes and causes of the riverbed relief and channel landscape of Naeseong-cheon River before and after the construction of Yeongju Dam were analyzed. Precipitation was decreased from spring to early summer, in 2014. This drought led to increase of riverbed vegetation cover in 2014 and vegetation cover showed peak in 2015 when flood discharge was low. Since 2016, however, some of vegetation cover was removed by sand bar erosion due to increased discharge during flooding. Thereafter led to complex riverbed relief in Naeseong-cheon River and riverbed vegetation cover with a slight decrease has been maintained until now.
