The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the effect of Chinese seniors’ motivation to participate in leisure sports on their resocialization and successful aging. 364 Chinese seniors living in Beijing, China and regularly participating in leisure sports were selected as research subjects. For analyzing data, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted using the SPSS 25.0 Version. As a result, first, Chinese seniors' motivation to participate in leisure sports was found to have a positive effect on resocialization. Second, their motivation to participate in leisure sports was found to have a positive effect on successful aging. Third, resocialization of Chinese seniors was found to have a positive effect on successful aging. In conclusion, in order to expect elderly people's participation in leisure sports, positive resocialization, and successful aging, it is necessary to develop (1) programs that consider intrinsic motivation such as enjoyment and fun, (2) differentiated programs by level for skill development, and (3) programs for positive resocialization.
