Abstract

The article is dedicated to methods of psychological infl uence on an individual in carrying out of criminal intelligence and surveillance operations. The study is relevant as the profession of a criminal investigator is referred to socionomic ones, i.e., activities in the “person to person” system. That said, effi ciency of professional activities of a criminal investigator is determined by psychological factors, in particular, by quality of communication, and thus, the study of methods of psychological infl uence on an individual at carrying out of criminal intelligence and surveillance operations can raise the effi ciency of criminal intelligence and surveillance operations. The object of the research is communication as an activity aimed at establishment, support and development of contacts, that has three aspects: communicative (information exchange), perceptive (perception of one another in the communication-related process), interactive (mutual infl uence in the communication-related process). The subject of the study is methods of psychological infl uence on an individual in carrying out of criminal intelligence and surveillance operations. A survey of 958 most experienced high-performance criminal investigators out of 82 constituent entities of the Russian Federation makes up the empirical base of the research.
