Abstract
The article considers the peculiarities of blended learning in managing students independent work when studying a foreign language. As one of the most effective educational technologies, blended learning logically integrates traditional methods of interaction between students and teacher in the classroom (t-learning) and computer technologies (e-learning) with unlimited multimedia capacity and boundless potential of problem-seeking activity. Competently managed students' independent work in mastering all types of speech activity should be based on logical convergence of traditional and multimedia technologies, which develop professional and personal qualities of future specialists.
