Функциональные и семантические особенности лексикализованной предложно-падежной словоформы «по ходу»

Abstract

The paper aims to reveal semantic, syntactic and communicative-pragmatic peculiarities of a prepositional-casal lexicalized word-form “по ходу” (along the way). The author examines the functioning of the lexeme “по ходу” (along the way) in the modern Russian language, identifies its semantic-syntactic variants. Scientific originality of the study involves justifying multifunctional nature of this lexeme which can perform nominal or auxiliary function manifesting categorial features similar to those of a derivative preposition, adverb, introductory modal word. As a result, it is proved that the lexeme “по ходу” (along the way) not only contributes to dictum component formation, but also determines subjective modality of a sentence.
