Abstract

The article examines the experience of the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands) in the development of national systems of continuing professional education, through which, based on European educational cooperation, the global goals of forming a “knowledge society” in national spaces, responding to modern challenges of the time, competitive, having continuity in the education of the population and an innovative component are realized. The article presents the general and special features in the systems of continuing professional education in the Scandinavian countries, analyzes the current state and long-term national strategies of continuing professional education. Continuing education abroad is considered from the perspective of the possibilities of using its experience in domestic education, taking into account its own traditions and peculiarities of educational practice.
