Abstract

The general foreign policy support of Ukraine by the vast majority of the world's states and unprecedented sanctions against the Russian Federation force the Kremlin to seek allies among the countries of the global South. The article analyzes how Ukraine and Russia are competing for international support in the Middle East, namely among the Arab oil monarchies of the Persian Gulf. The main directions of cooperation with the states of the region after the large-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine have been determined. The key factors in the development of the position of the Persian Gulf countries regarding the response to Russia's war against Ukraine have been studied.
