Abstract

Currently, the logistics sector, like other industries, is undergoing huge changes, and, like any changes, these are fraught both with risks (instability of the geopolitical situation, increased sanctions against the Russian Federation by Western countries, and the continuing threat of the impact of COVID-19) and opportunities (new technologies, new market participants, and new consumer expectations). Railway transport is an important component of the country's transport infrastructure, ensuring effective deployment of productive forces, specialization of regions, meeting the needs for the transportation of various goods and passengers, etc. The purpose of the article is to develop new methods and principles for diagnosing logistics systems, which will improve the sustainability of railway transport enterprises by quickly eliminating system bottlenecks and maximizing market opportunities. To assess the effectiveness of the supply chain management system, an express method is proposed based on the study of such components as “goals”, “tasks” in the areas of “customers”, “business processes”, “finance” and “personnel”, as well as the “lost profit” component.
