Abstract

The article discusses epic works of a small genre dedicated to the image of St. Petersburg (in Soviet times Leningrad) and created by M.M. Prishvin and N.N. Tolstaya. The basis of the comparative analysis is the traditions of the depiction of this significant city for the national history by Russian writers and poets.
