Abstract
The article examines the possibilities of the cluster approach as an engine of regional economic development using the example of the Republic of Tatarstan. The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of the cluster model, examines modern cluster structures operating in the Republic of Tatarstan, and determines the advantages of using the cluster model for the region of its application. Based on the conducted research, conclusions are made about the effectiveness of using the cluster model for the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
