Abstract

In case of combined pathology, in particular aphakia and regmatogenic retinal detachment (ROS), an important point is the leveling of changes in the iridocrustal apparatus. Biomicroscopy revealed changes in the anterior part of the eye in patients of both groups. Purpose. The purpose of the study was to study the morphofunctional parameters of the eyeball in regmatogenic retinal detachment in conditions of aphakia. Material and methods. The studies were conducted on 100 eyes of patients aged 56 to 75 years with aphakia and artifakia and pathology of the vitreal cavity (regmatogenic retinal detachment with upper ruptures without involving the macula). All patients were divided into 2 groups depending on the presence or absence of IOL. Results. Analyzing the data obtained, signs such as unevenness of the anterior chamber of the eye, atrophy of the pigment border of the iris and its vascularization occur in patients of both groups. The distinctive features of the morphology of the anterior segment of the eye in the 1 st group patients are local opacification of the periphery of the cornea. There is also a tendency to increase the indicator of the presence of anterior chamber irregularity in the 1 st group patients. A distinctive feature of the change in the structural parameters of the vitreal cavity according to optical coherence tomography (OCT) is the presence of vitreomacular traction syndrome in the 1 st group patients. Conclusion. When assessing changes in the morphofunctional parameters of the eyeball when growing in aphakia, it can be concluded that in patients of the 1 st group, a significant decrease in IOP was revealed, an increase in the percentage of the presence of descemet folds, local opacity of the cornea periphery, absence of pupillary reflex, vitreous destruction, an increase in the depth, angle of the anterior chamber of the eye, an increase in the frequency of vitreomacular traction syndrome in comparison with similar indicators of patients of the 2 nd group.
