Анализ словообразовательного потенциала англоязычных терминов транспортной логистики посредством построения словообразовательных гнезд

Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the word-formation possibilities of the terminological units of the transport logistics terminological system. The research was carried out by the material of the English terms of transport logistics. The article discusses the essence of the notion “terminological family of words”, identifies various models of family of words composition and defines family of words forming (core) terms. The features of family of words in the terminological system of transport logistics are analysed and a quantitative analysis of the data obtained is carried out. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time an attempt was made to reveal the systematic nature of the terminology under study and the word-formation possibilities of its terminological units with the help of the study of terminological family of words. As a result, it is proved that the core terms of the English terminological system of transport logistics have a high word-formation potential.
