Abstract

The development of the agricultural sector serves to solve vital problems at the national and global level. To increase the pace of innovative development in the agricultural sector, it is necessary first of all to determine the possibilities and priorities for the formation of an economic mechanism for assessing innovative potential and accelerating innovative activity. This situation is determined by the need for an integrated approach to identifying and implementing opportunities to accelerate innovative development in the agricultural sector. The speed of dissemination and implementation of innovations is an important factor determining the pace and proportions of development at the level of the national economy, industry and enterprise. The pace of innovative development in the agricultural sector is determined by the environment, which is formed under the influence of many factors. It is necessary to justify the priorities for the formation of an appropriate economic mechanism in order to create a more favorable environment for accelerating innovation. It should be borne in mind that the specificity of agriculture is reflected in the speed of distribution and development of product and process innovations. Limiting the rate of biological processes due to natural factors affects the pace of innovative development of the industry. These and other issues require new approaches to the priorities of the formation of an economic mechanism for accelerating innovation in the agricultural sector. Justification of the priorities for the formation of an economic mechanism for accelerating innovation is one of the topical issues in terms of achieving optimal rates and proportions of innovative development of agricultural production and increasing the competitiveness of products. The article outlines the necessary changes in the process of forming an adequate economic mechanism for accelerating innovation in the agricultural sector, including the financial and tax system, depreciation policy, competition and the system of commercialization of scientific ideas. The factors that determine the speed of innovation activity in the industry were characterized, and the attitude to the sphere of their influence was expressed.
