Abstract
The article describes one of the results of the annual psychological-educational project "Psychological support by art workshop" organized by the State Scientific and Methodological Center for the content of Cultural and Artistic Education for educators in the field of artistic education. Specifically, it focuses on the participants' practical task for self-regulation of their emotional state. During the implementation of the educational program, arranged for psychological support and professional communication, various theoretical and practical tasks were offered to professionals in the field of artistic education, aimed at providing effective psychological tools for their own psychological self-support. One of the tasks during the webinars was an art practice related to the use of colors and symbols, specifically drawing a picture of oneself, which was suggested by the organizers as a way to adapt well-known psychological methods, such as "Drawing a Person" (K. Makhover) and "Self-Portrait" (K. Burns). The created drawings allowed the participants to present themselves as "creators." Reflection and discussion of the results obtained during this work had a deep therapeutic and healing effect. A total of 242 participants of the art workshop executed this projective task using various artistic materials – paints, pencils, markers, chalk, and digital methods, choosing from 10 colors and then describing the impact of these colors on their own emotional and psychological state. The presented material summarizes the results obtained during this experiment. The description of the data pays special attention to analyzing the use of colors as coping strategies in stressful situations and the potential for further implementation of this artistic practice as a unique means of self-help and self-restoration for professionals in the field of artistic education, both individually and in group settings
