Abstract
This article is devoted to the urgent problem of assessing the adaptive capabilities of a preschooler with special educational needs at the time of his inclusion in the environment of healthy peers. The article provides a theoretical review of the concept of "adaptive capabilities of the child." A set of techniques is presented to identify the adaptive capabilities of the child and the results of the study. Based on the results of the study, the authors conclude that it is necessary to take them into account when constructing an individual educational route for a child during his adaptation to a preschool educational institution
