Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze the place and role of logic as an academic discipline in the aspect of reforming Russian education in the 19th – early 20th centuries. The author draws attention to the fact that the scope of the study is the reforming of Russian education in the 19th – early 20th centuries and the subject of the study is the idea of the place and role of logic as an educational discipline in this process. As a result, the author draws conclusions that the research results can be used by studying the humanities as well as they can be applied in order to improve the ways of thinking of representatives of society and those of the public administration in relation to society, politics and the system of state and municipal administration.
