Abstract

The article is dedicated to the research and search for ways to scientific substantiate the solution of the problems of the modern knowledge economy based on the application of the quality economy and its vital component: standardization. The definition of the innovative development mechanisms is clarified, the principle of their operation is shown. The results of the review and analysis of the state of the main branches of the knowledge economy: science, education, healthcare, biotechnology and information technology in 2010–2021 in Russia and separately in federal districts are presented. The data on the distribution of the volume of innovative goods, works, and services in the total volume of production across the country and by federal districts showed that there are large reserves for increasing the contribution of the Russian knowledge economy to the economic growth and development. With the leading role of information technology, a proposal has been made to develop digital standardization in order to improve the efficiency of innovative development mechanisms in the knowledge economy.
