Abstract
The article presents the results of studies on the assessment of the locally irritating and allergenic effect of a feed additive based on humic acid salts obtained by extraction of brown coal, enriched with macro- and microelements. The study of the local irritant effect was carried out on guinea pigs by skin application and rabbits by the conjunctival test method. It was found that the feed additive does not cause irritation when instilled in its native form on the conjunctiva of the eye of rabbits and when applied once to the skin of guinea pigs. Studying the allergenic properties of the feed additive in mice, a delayed-type hypersensitivity test was used. When taking into account the reaction index when comparing the indicators of the experimental and control groups of mice, the reaction index of the mice of the experimental group was slightly higher than that of the control group, but the differences are unreliable, which allows us to conclude that there are no pronounced sensitizing properties of the feed additive.
