Abstract

The article considers the problem of rhetorical devices influence on P. I. Tchaikovsky’s late vocal creative work. By the example of the cycle of romances based on D. Ratgauz’s poetry the author identifies special lexical (in particular, “rhetorical figures”), structural, and, consequently, semantic principles conditioned by rhetorical poetics influence. Prosodic and rhetorical analysis has allowed the researcher to justify the appearance of the composer’s monogram in the final romance as a marker of its special dramaturgic status - “romance-prayer” and “romance-testament”.
