Abstract

The article examines the importance of professional and communicative teaching of a foreign language to students who will work in the tourism industry. The main emphasis is given to the analysis of theoretical and practical aspects. There can be seen a review of some communicative competencies of trained employees in the sphere of tourism and proper definition of intercultural communication. Moreover, teaching methods aimed at developing and activating speech skills and skills for successful mastery of foreign lexical and grammatical peculiarities in the direction of “Tourism” are accurately described.
