Abstract

This paper presents clinical signs of glaucoma against the background of inflammation of the vascular membrane, risk factors for the development of this ophthalmopathy are identified. A scheme of drug antihypertensive therapy of this type and form of glaucoma is proposed, the effectiveness of treatment is evaluated. The clinical picture of secondary PUG in dogs was characterized by the following symptoms: increased IOP, decreased visual functions, endothelial edema of the cornea (from minor to pronounced), stagnant injection of episcleral vessels, changes in the depth of the PC of the eye, mydriasis, buphthalmos, the presence of exudate in the PC of the eye, the presence of posterior synechiae and goniosynechiae, bombing of the iris. The scheme of intensive drug treatment of secondary PUG proposed by us, based on a combination of several antihypertensive drugs, as well as anti-inflammatory therapy, proved to be quite effective (81 %), and the level of IOP reduction after 30-60 days was 31 % of the value before the start of therapy.
