Abstract
The concepts of active and productive work during the educational process are introduced. The basic principles of teaching at Saint-Petersburg university of State fire service of EMERCOM of Russia based on the assessment of training sessions and disciplines are considered. The main positions of the effectiveness of studying disciplines and training sessions based on the active and productive work of students and teachers, as well as criteria for evaluating the educational process, taking into account the coefficients of activity and productivity, are shown.
