Abstract
The article analyzes the survey data reflecting the attitude of senior pupils to a family institute. Positive and negative tendencies of learners’perception offamily values are revealed. In addition, the substantive and methodological possibilities of the social studies course to maintenance of a positive image of the institution of the family in the minds of the pupils are shown. The important aspects of the use of appropriate forms of work and didactic means at the lessons are revealed.
