Abstract
The article substantiates the upbringing and educational potential of the inclusion of students in the specialty «Special (defectological) education» in volunteer activity. The involvement of students as volunteers in educational organizations is considered as one of the conditions for their professional development. The experience offuture teachers-defectologists and speech therapists’ participation in volunteer counseling of children with disabilities in educational organizations is presented.
