Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of spiritual, moral and aesthetic education of the individual in preschool years. One of the conditions for its effective solution, according to the authors, is the formation of a stable interest in the folk toy. This will make it possible to introduce children to the national culture, folk art, in which the ideal of a person was originally praised, loyalty to traditions, customs, rituals and love for the small motherland, cultural and spiritual values were appreciated. The art of different ethnic groups often shows similar features in cultural traditions, which makes it possible to learn more about not only folk decorative and applied art (DAA) of their country, but also world art in general. Students can successfully study and manufacture textile (rag) dolls in institutions of additional education of artistic and aesthetic orientation, starting from preschool age. Children’s passion for folk toys contributes to the formation and education of an aesthetic attitude to reality.
