Abstract
This study explored alternative energy security solutions for the Kyrgyzstan, focusing on solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass energy. It evaluates the small river energy potential, nuclear energy prospects, and the link between mountain tourism and renewable energy potential. This research is pertinent because of the limited studies on the energy supply for mountain tourism infrastructure. Theoretical and methodological analyses suggest promoting mountain tourism via renewable energy, with the aim of boosting the republic's technological economy. Special attention is paid to an innovative water flow reversal method to optimize hydropower plant efficiency during peak periods to achieve a sustainable energy balance.
