Abstract

The article is devoted to one of the important problems of the modern education system – improving the quality of education in the field of formation and assessment of functional literacy of students. Particular attention is paid to the study of professional competencies of teachers in the field of formation of functional literacy of students; ways of effective methodological support of the teacher in overcoming the existing professional deficits in order to improve the quality of education, including through the system of additional vocational education, are proposed.
