Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of formation of civil and patriotic position of students. Based on the materials of a regional sociological study, the author reveals the peculiarities of the attitude of modern students to the historical past of the country, family historical memory, in particular, about the events of the Great Patriotic War, determines the directions and conditions for the effectiveness of civil and patriotic education of students.
