Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of preserving and popularizing cultural heritage in the activities of the National Cultural Autonomy of the Kazakhs of the Tyumen Region. The history of the creation of the public organization and the main directions of its activities are considered. Particular attention is paid to the regional Kazakh holiday “Kurultai”, which has become a cultural brand of the region. The authors come to the conclusion that the Kurultai of the Kazakhs contribute to the revival, preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the people, and are also aimed at consolidating society, strengthening national identity, interethnic and interfaith harmony.
