Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify and assess the problems of socialization of senior preschool children with disabilities in motor-play activities. The article considers the mechanisms and patterns of socialization of senior preschool children with disabilities based on the use of theoretical and empirical research methods, and proves the socializing effect of motor-play activities. The methodology is described and the results of the conducted research involving preschoolers with typical development and disabilities (n = 316) are analyzed. As a result of the experimental work, the author has determined the levels and features of socialization of senior preschool children with disabilities, and outlined the vectors of using the potential of motor-play activities in the solution of socialization problems. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying the mechanisms, patterns, and socio-pedagogical determinants of socialization of preschool children with disabilities, as well as in developing a set of criteria and indicators for objective assessment of the socialization process.
