Abstract
The article examines the indirect and direct approaches of granting the legal effects to the terms of the mediated settlement agreements with a foreign element subject to the Russian existing and future legislation. Every approach research concerns the examination of judicial, arbitration and notarial ways of granting legal effects to such agreements. The suggestions for Russian law development correspond to the elicited defects of the current legal situation. It is concluded, that further research of the current and future legislation in the field of granting the legal effects to the mediated settlement agreements with a foreign element will promote effective vindication of subjects of law legal interests.
