Abstract

What is the process of globalization? On the pages of this journal it is shown that globalization can be approached in a variety of disciplinary ways, from sociology to political science to philosophy to systems theoretical analysis. This article approaches globalization through the discoveries of quantum and relativity physics extrapolated to a philosophical comprehension of our fundamental human condition and the application of the resulting holism to the issue of our planetary ecosystem and climate collapse. My theoretical premise here is that globalization involves a constellation of phenomena reflecting an emerging consciousness of our fundamental human condition. This comprehension points forward teleologically to a fulfillment of our human civilizational quest in a fully globalized world premised on our common humanity living in harmony with our planetary biosystem and with the ultimate ground of value (identified by a variety of labels throughout history). It models this fully globalized world through explicating the design premises of the Constitution for the Federation of Earth revolving around the concepts of system design, oneness, humanity, dignity, unity in diversity, federation, justice, and sovereignty.
