Abstract

The processes of globalization turned out to be closely connected with sanctions in the scientific field. The problems that have arisen in relation to the consistent implementation of the open science paradigm in connection with the current anti-Russian sanctions are examined. The author analyzes the regularity resulting in the reduction of international scientific communication, covered by the paradigm of openness. As a result, there is a slowdown in scientific and technological progress aimed at solving global problems. The author considers the situation of anti-Russian sanctions in the field of science in the context of the emerging trend, which consists in the transition from idealistic to pragmatic model of science diplomacy. The author concludes that the elements of open science are preserved in the current geopolitical situation, while increasing the heterogeneity in the global scientific community regarding the degree and forms of continuation of scientific cooperation with Russia is increasing.
