Abstract

The article discusses a spectroscopic method for determining the temperature of an electric arc plasma. The results of studies conducted using spectral analysis of copper emission lines are presented. The rationale for the choice of the method and its characteristics is given. This method allows you to determine the electronic component of the temperature. For electric arc plasma, when the principle of local thermodynamic equilibrium is fulfilled, this temperature is approximately equal to the average temperature (energy) of all types of particles. The temperature of the electric arc air plasma calculated by the Boltzmann method is 5100-5450 K.
