Abstract

The paper presents the results of determining the sensitivity of the bacterial flora of the uterine contents of sows with postpartum endometritis to the most common groups of antibacterial drugs used in veterinary medicine. The following pathogenic bacterial strains have been identified: Escherichia coli, Trueperella pyogenes, Aeromonas salmonicida, Proteus vulgaris. The sensitivity of the bacterial flora isolated from the uterine contents of pigs with postpartum endometritis to antibacterial drugs of the following groups was determined: carbapenems, cephalosporins, lincosamides, polymyxins, tetracyclines, beta-lactams, penicillins, sulfonamides, aminoglycosides, tetracyclines. To a large number of studied drugs, all types of isolated bacteria showed persistent resistance. Such high rates of antibiotic resistance in bacterial pathogens suggest that alternative therapies need to be sought.
