Abstract

Hippeastrum is a promising pot and cut plant for indoor gardening. The article highlights hippeastrum classification and use in phytodesign. Employees of the Siberian Botanical Garden of TSU are carrying out selection work and have obtained offspring of more than 30 hippeastrum crossing lines, among which there are double and large-flowered specimens with a new and interesting color. Some new hybrids obtained in the Siberian Botanical Garden of TSU are presented. To obtain a large number of healthy plants and import substitution of planting material, the technology of hippeastrum micropropagation is being optimized.
