Abstract
The study aims to consider possibilities of using in educational process the textbook “Let’s Talk about Music in Russian”, developed by researchers and designed for teaching language for specific purposes to student musicians from China, who are proficient in Russian at the First Certification Level (TORFL-I/B1). The article showcases creative tasks from the textbook “Let’s Talk about Music in Russian”, intended to increase interest in study of the Russian language and to reinforce musical terminology. Scientific novelty of the work lies in developing methodological recommendations for using the textbook “Let’s Talk about Music in Russian” in educational process. As a result, it has been proved that texts and creative tasks from the textbook “Let’s Talk about Music in Russian” possess a didactic potential and allow the Chinese students to develop discussion skills in the field of professional communication.
