Abstract

The study deals with mobile learning and highlights the experience of Russian and foreign researchers on integration of mobile technologies into teaching foreign (English) language at a university. The research shows that, despite the considerable interest in the issue under review and the widespread use of mobile devices, mobile learning is not frequently applied. Such concepts as mobile learning and mobile technologies are considered. The chronology of introducing mobile technologies into education is presented. The author notes that mobile-based projects are aimed at the core activities in the academic process, i.e. the development of various types of speech activity, the assessment and evaluation system. A number of trends in modern education and the integrative prospects of mobile technologies are demonstrated.
